The Job

As a GIS/Remote Sensing Specialist at SkyFi you will be joining a team of bright, energetic, and genuinely nice people and will make meaningful contributions to multiple business units with a focus on Product and Operations. You will be at the forefront of making GIS data and applications accessible and understandable to a new universe of customers.

The responsibilities consist of end-to-end ownership of the problem at hand:

Lead the quality control process on images and data collected by satellites & aerial operators to ensure they meet usability requirements of our customers.

Evaluate potential data analytics partners and assist in creating data and analytics “bundled” products.

Responsible for internal remote sensing & GIS training.

Provide technical assistance to customers and support business development.

Assist in Product Development with regards to usability and platform innovation.

Utilize your technical expertise to help develop SkyFi’s use case workshops and webinars for customers success and business growth

You

Graduate Degree in the scientific discipline: geomatics, remote sensing, geography & spatial analysis related field of study.

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience exhibiting domain expertise in remote sensing processing and geospatial analytics.

Strong knowledge of QGIS, ArcMap, ERDAS handling vector, and raster files. Python Programming skills a plus.

Experience extracting, manipulating, and utilizing GIS data.

Experience with Optical, SAR and/or Hyperspectral satellite/aerial sensors.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to explain technical topics to non-technical people.
